Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality is relatively new. It mixes virtual and the real world together.

Imagine that you are exhibiting at a trade show. You need a "hook"  to get visitors onto the stand. Let's say that you want to have a prize draw at the end of each day. You hand out draw tickets. Of course, the entrants have to fill out their details on the back of the ticket to be able to win the prize. The prize, however, is a secret. The only way of discovering what they could win would be to present the ticket to a camera linked to a monitor, on your stand. When the ticket is presented to the camera the prize appears on the card in the
the monitor. A full 3D model that can be turned round and viewed from any angle. The model can be animated and even run video and audio media.

A "marker" printed on the card triggers the software to display the model associated with that marker. The marker can appear on anything, say a T shirt given out to delegates.

Imagine your new product. You have printed new brochures and included in the brochure is one of our "markers". When the brochure is presented to the camera, again the product appears in their hand in 3D. The brochure is interactive. By touching images in the printed media, the model can change colour or open out or play music etc.

Take some time to view some videos on YouTube and see some of the applications of this amazing technology.
